Tropical Storm Harvey has changed the lives of many people. Since it formed on August 17, 2017, until it dissipated on September 2, 2017, the storm has caused an estimated 70 billion dollars in damages.

Search-and-rescue operation conducted by the coast guard has saved over 4,000 people in Houston in only the first week of recovery.

In total over 17,000 people were rescued from the storm.

  1. What a terrifying experience. Sometimes I wonder why I live where the air hurts my face and then remember it’s because of crazy things like this.

  2. I remember this hurricane (luckily wasn’t in this one) and it’s amazing how many lives were saved. It’s also sad with how many lives are lost every time a hurricane strikes somewhere. I’m from New Orleans and remember going through Katrina so it’s definitely an “experience” to say the least.
